Teacher Appreciation: More Than Just a Month, It's a Movement

Teacher Appreciation: More Than Just a Month, It's a Movement

Miss Jennifer has been teaching for 17 years. She knows every child's favorite color, their anxieties, their learning styles, and exactly how to redirect a meltdown before it escalates. She arrives early to set up sensory stations and stays late to prepare individualized lesson plans. Last year, she spent over $1,200 of her own money on classroom supplies.

This is why Teacher Appreciation Month matters—and why it can't just be about coffee mugs and thank-you notes.

This May, The Tee Shop is launching our "Fund a Teacher's Wishlist" campaign. For every teacher-themed shirt sold, we're contributing to a pool that will grant full classroom wishlists to five educators in our community. We're talking about the sensory swings, the adaptive scissors, the diverse books, the flexible seating options that teachers dream about but can't afford.

Teachers don't need flowery praise—they need resources, respect, and recognition that their work is literally shaping the future. Wear your support. Fund their success. Because great teachers don't just deserve appreciation one month a year; they deserve our action every single day.
